America 250: Power of the Press
A hands-on exploration of the power of the press throughout local history at MOHAI. **What kids do** - Make prints using a letterpress with Partners in Print. - Create zines with Vivian Li, Library of Congress Innovator in Residence. - Explore historical printed materials from the MOHAI collection with staff. - Watch the play "The Dispatch" about printing the Declaration of Independence at 3pm. The program concludes with a live performance of "The Dispatch" by Last Leaf Productions. **Schedule** - 1:00–3:00 pm — Drop-in hands-on activities (printing, zine making, collection table-talk) - 3:00 pm — Performance of "The Dispatch"
