South Seattle College
South Seattle College is a public community college campus offering academic programs and community resources for learners and families; features include a library, an art gallery, and a MakerSpace; hosts campus events and continuing-education programs. Additionally, the campus includes a five-acre outdoor teaching arboretum with a variety of themed gardens, conifers, and a pond on a bluff with views of downtown Seattle. The arboretum serves as an outdoor classroom and public garden, featuring a sensory garden, rose and dwarf conifer displays, a gazebo overlooking the skyline, and mapped walking paths suitable for family visits. Amenities include wheelchair-accessible routes, and children and leashed pets are welcome but must stay on paths to protect plantings.

* Children and pets are welcome. * We simply ask that they stay on the paths in order to protect vegetation and prevent damage to the irrigation system. * Please pick up pet waste and pets must remain on leashes. * Trash cans are on site for disposal. * We're sorry for the inconvenience, but restrooms are only open when classes are in session or the garden center is open.
