San Francisco Zoo & Gardens
This zoo and gardens on the Pacific Coast houses over 1,500 exotic, endangered and rescued animals across 100 acres of landscaped habitats; it is family-friendly with a playground, Dentzel carousel and a Wild Explorer VR experience. On-site dining, a gift shop, stroller rentals and accessible routes help make visits with young children easier.

- Paid · Parking lot · On-site paid parking lot with entrances off the Great Highway and Sloat Blvd at 47th; purchase a parking voucher on-site the day of your visit and pay at the ticket office, Little Puffer Train station (11:00AM-4:30PM), Denzel Carousel ticket booth (11:00AM-4:00PM), or the main gift shop. Paid parking is first come, first served. Street parking along Sloat Boulevard is free. Listed parking fees on site: $13 weekdays / $15 weekends & holidays; valet $25 (weekends). EV charging stations in the public lot: three Tesla towers and two universal chargers (site notes say free to use).

Rules
* Do not feed zoo animals, peacocks, gulls, or squirrels. * Do not let children stand on railings or fences. * No smoking anywhere on zoo grounds, including the parking lot. * Photography is allowed but no selfie sticks; stay behind barriers and in public areas. * Do not pick flowers, uproot trees or shrubs, or strip branches or leaves.
