Rules

* Outside food and drinks are prohibited because they can damage the art and attract pests. Please dispose of food and drinks before entering the museum. If you need an exception made for medical or other concerns, a Visitor Services Associate will let you know where you can take care of your need. * Please do not touch any artwork or displays. Please stay a respectful distance away from all artwork, including historic furniture, and avoid touching or resting on displays. Help us preserve the museum and its collections for everyone to enjoy. * Still photography is permitted for personal use only unless otherwise noted. Photographs may not be commercially published, sold, reproduced, transferred, or distributed. Flash, tripods, gimbals, and camera extension poles are not allowed. * When taking photos, be aware of your surroundings to maintain a respectful distance from artwork and be considerate of other visitors. The museum reserves the right to deny any person permission to photograph or record video on the museum premises for any reason. * During your visit, you may be photographed or filmed by museum staff. We may use these images in signage, printed materials, and online for any purpose, commercial or otherwise. * Use, possession, or storage of any dangerous materials, including but not limited to firearms, is prohibited at Maryhill Museum of Art. * Backpacks and large purses must be checked at the admission desk. If permitted to carry your bag for medical reasons, you must wear it on the front of your body. * Umbrellas are not permitted in the galleries and must be left at the admissions desk. * Pets are not allowed inside the museum. * Pets are welcome outside on the museum grounds as long as their human companions clean up and dispose of pet waste appropriately. The museum does not provide pet waste bags or water dishes; we expect all human companions to carry these items. * Service dogs trained to perform a specific task to assist a person with a disability are welcome in the museum. * Therapy animals, emotional support animals, and companion animals are not considered service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act and are not permitted in the museum.
