Wildcat Canyon Regional Park

A family-friendly regional park with a children's playground and picnic grounds; paved Nimitz Way and accessible paths are stroller- and wheelchair-friendly, and nearby creek access and open lawns give young children space to explore. The park also offers 25 miles of trails and 2.5 miles of paved, wheelchair-accessible Nimitz Way, with numerous picnic areas with BBQs.

Free · Parking lot · Main parking lot gate at Alvarado Staging Area has seasonal gate hours: November–February 7:30AM–5:00PM; March–May 7:30AM–6:00PM; June–August 7:30AM–7:00PM; September–October 7:30AM–6:00PM. Parking: no fee. Wheelchair-accessible parking and restrooms available at the Inspiration Point staging area (no drinking water there).

Rules

* Park curfew: park closed from 10:00PM to 05:00AM. * Dogs must be on leash at all times on Nimitz Way, in parking/staging areas, and in all developed areas. * Dogs are not permitted in the Tilden Nature Area. * Picnic areas have no vehicle access; bring a wagon or dolly to transport items from the parking lot. * Bicycles and equestrians are prohibited on single-track trails in the Tilden Nature Area.
