North Transfer Station Community Viewing Room
The Community Viewing Room lets visitors watch waste trucks and machinery in action through floor-to-ceiling windows. Inside, children can play a slot-machine style recycling game, lift small doors in a Q\&A exhibit to learn about waste streams, and drive toy trucks around a carpeted miniature station. There’s also a nearby playground for running off steam. Visits are free and open daily from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and parents are asked to take home any toys they bring.
