Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco

An art museum with permanent collections and family-focused programs. Family workshops and audio tours support child-friendly visits; youth 17 and under always receive free admission to the permanent collections. Amenities include stroller accessibility, lactation spaces, a museum shop, and a café. Additionally, free admission is offered to Bay Area residents on Saturdays and on select Tuesdays monthly.

Paid · Garage · Music Concourse Garage (paid; access from Fulton St & 10th Ave or Concourse Drive) is primary museum parking. Garage hours 7:00AM–7:00PM; weekday rate $5/hr ($35 max), weekend $6/hr ($35 max). Limited street parking is available (check signs); 15-minute free drop-off/pick-up window in front of the de Young. Garage operated by third party (REEF/MCCP). Legion of Honor: Free parking available in the lots in front of the museum and along the north side of the building; limited street parking also available.

Rules

* Standard-size strollers are allowed; some exhibitions restrict stroller access. * No outside food or drink; only food purchased in museum cafés is allowed in the cafés and adjoining terraces. * Animals are not permitted except for service and support animals; service/support animals must be well-behaved and under control; staff may intervene if an animal is disruptive. * Do not touch artworks; keep hands at least 18 inches away from objects on view. * No smoking or vaping on museum property or in the park by City ordinance. * Large backpacks and oversized bags are restricted — bags larger than specified dimensions must be carried by hand or checked. * Flash photography is not allowed in the galleries.
