Seattle Children's Museum
This indoor children's museum offers exploratory, hands-on exhibits across 14,000+ sq ft designed to spark curiosity and imaginative play for young children. Permanent exhibit areas include a neighborhood play space with a clinic, market, post office, fire station and transit play; an art and workshop area; and a dedicated reading/story time room. The museum also provides educator-led programs, family workshops, and rotating special exhibits.

Garage (516 Harrison St; entrances on Harrison St. and Republican St.) and Mercer Street Garage (650 3rd Ave N; entrance on 3rd Ave N); rates vary by duration and event and monthly parking is available. Rules
* Children must be accompanied and supervised by an individual 18 years or older while in the museum. * All guests must abide by our Code of Conduct * Beginning June 19, 2025, masks will be required for all guests ages 3+ on Sundays only, from open until noon. * Pick a Well-Lit Area—do not park in a lonely area of the garage (park near other vehicles). * Stay Off of Technology—pay attention to your driving and surroundings. * Lock Your Car—always. * Look Both Ways-drive defensively. * Stay in your lane—especially when turning. * Keep Valuables in the Trunk—do not cover things and leave them on the seat. * Watch Out for Pedestrians—they don't pay attention, you must for their sake. * Slow Down—garages are no speeding zones. * Follow Directions—of signage and garage personnel. * If you see something, say something-- know who to call-- ESU at 206-684-7272 or Call 911. * Adult guests are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times. * No children are allowed in the Museum without an adult. * You may bring the following to the Museum: Water or drinks in lidded (preferably spill-proof) containers * You may bring the following to the Museum: Food, as long as it stays packed away * You may bring to the Museum: Service animals * You may not bring the following to the Museum: Drinks in unlidded or easy-to-spill containers * You may not bring the following to the Museum: Pets and emotional support animals * You may not bring the following to the Museum: Firearms or weapons of any kind * The Seattle Children's Museum does not tolerate rude, inappropriate, or unwelcome behavior toward other guests or employees, whether verbal, physical, or visual. * Museum staff reserves the right to refuse admission, revoke membership, and/or remove any person without refund for any reason. * ON MUSEUM TAKEOVER DAYS, ADMISSION TICKETS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. * ALL GUESTS MUST PURCHASE TICKETS SPECIFIC TO THE EVENT. * No person shall treat any person in an aggressive, menacing, or abusive manner that would place a reasonable person in fear for their property or personal safety. * Smoking is prohibited in all Seattle Center buildings and within twenty-five (25) feet from building entrances and exits, windows that open, and ventilation intakes that serve an enclosed area. * It is prohibited to camp on any portion of the Seattle Center Campus unless expressly authorized by the Director. * It is prohibited for anyone except those individuals with ADA service animals, public law enforcement officers, authorized City employees in the performance of their duties, or Seattle Center authorized licensees to bring any animal into any Seattle Center building or other areas designated by the Director and so posted, or to allow or permit any animal under his or her control to enter such facilities. * Urinating or defecating on the campus, except in facilities specifically provided for the purpose, is prohibited. * It is prohibited on the campus to consume, or to possess liquor, as defined in SMC Section 12A.24.010 C, or other applicable law, except as authorized by a Seattle Center License or other agreement and a Permit issued by the Washington State Liquor Control Board or its successor. * It is prohibited to sell, manufacture, purchase, possess or carry any blackjack, sand-club, metal knuckles, switchblade knife, chako sticks, or throwing stars. * The use on the campus of all wheeled devices, such as bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, inline skates, and scooters, is prohibited, except for: wheeled equipment used by disabled individuals to be ambulatory; children's strollers; skateboards, roller skates and inline skates used in the Seattle Center Skatepark; wheeled devices being used only for transportation across the campus; or other uses expressly authorized by the Director.
